Ride Smart
Ride Safely On Amusement Devices
To get the most enjoyment out of your amusement
experience there are tips you should know and
follow to keep your ride safe and fun!
Before the Ride
Observe all admission restrictions to determine whether or not the ride is appropriate for you and/or your child.
Read all the rules for each ride so you know how to behave appropriately and/or instruct your child how to behave
appropriately.
During the Ride
Be sure to tie up long hair and remove any loose articles
(sunglasses, hats, jewellery, etc.) that have the potential to fall
off during the ride.
Remain seated, buckled in and be sure to keep your hands and
feet inside the ride at all times.
Use all safety equipment which the ride offers and remember to
always listen to the operator's instructions.
After the Ride
When the ride is over, remain seated until you come to a
complete stop.
If you feel tired, stop riding or take a break - the rides aren't as
much fun if you are exhausted.
The REGULATION requires all riders to:
- obey all warnings & directions regarding each ride
- behave in a manner that will not cause or contribute to injury to themselves or others.
Failure to comply is a punishable offence under the REGULATION. For more safe rider information visit www.safetyinfo.ca
Remember, most accidents are caused by the rider, not the ride. Unsafe behaviour puts you at risk. Follow instructions and take responsibility for your own safety so you can have more fun.
RIDE SAFETY REGULATIONS
In order to assure that your visit is both safe and fun, please read all safety signage posted at each ride, and follow the directions of ride operators and attendants.
Safety is the number one priority on the World's Finest Midway.
Due to the movement, design or motions of certain attractions, we may not be able to allow an individual on every ride.
For your safety, as well as the safety of other guests, each ride has individual criteria that must be matched in order to ride, in accordance with T.S.S.A. and manufacturer regulations. Please note that care and control are key to rider qualification and that each patron must exhibit mental and physical self control in order to ride all amusements.
Just as most rides have a height restriction, certain rides have restrictions regarding size. If you cannot fit properly in the seat, and the lap bar cannot close, we cannot allow you to ride.
All guests should realize that, while remote, there is a possibility that an emergency situation may occur. Riders may need to physically remove themselves from the ride. We request and require that each guest be able to load and unload from the ride, either by themselves or with the assistance of a capable companion.
Parents, please don't insist your child ride if they are not willing.
Access criteria is based upon the ability of any guest to utilize all safety restraints on devices as designed, and maintain a proper position throughout the ride cycle.
We ask you to please assess your abilities before making the decision to ride.
We cannot and will not compromise the safety of a single guest.
If you have any questions, please ask WFS Guest Services for aditional assistance.
